Spend By Fulfilment

The rule

Ask each spend: did the joy it gave match the life-hours it took? Keep what earns its price.

Where it flips

Used harshly it can shame every small treat and squeeze all lightness from life. The repair is to remember that some simple pleasures are worth their price, and joy itself is a fair reason to spend.

Not every rupee brings equal happiness. Some spends give deep, lasting fulfilment. Others give a tiny buzz and are forgotten by night. Take each spend and ask a simple question. Did this bring me real fulfilment, worth the life energy it cost? Keep the spends that pass. Quietly cut the ones that do not. This slowly shapes a life that fits you.

A worked example

Aarohi checks her month. The ₹800 on a family walk-and-picnic gave real joy; the ₹1,200 on impulse online buys gave none. She keeps the first, drops the second. [illustrative]

How to spot it

  • ·Spends that gave a buzz but no lasting joy
  • ·Buying by habit, not by fulfilment
  • ·Cutting the wrong things while keeping the joyless ones
