How to use this site - and in what order

There is a lot here - hundreds of lessons, mental models and studies. You are not meant to read it all, and never in one go. It is a method to dip into, not a course to finish. Below is a simple map: pick the path that sounds like you, and follow it in order. Everything is free to read, there is nothing to track, and none of it is a stock tip.

Pick your path

I'm brand new to the market

Start with your own money and your own mind - the two things that decide most outcomes - then learn to read a company.

  1. 1Reading Your MoneyGet the base right first - what money is for, before any share.
  2. 2Reading YourselfMeet the mind that will trip you: FOMO, fear, and the biases behind them.
  3. 3The reading checklistThe 7 questions to ask before you ever buy - mostly they help you say no.
  4. 4Reading a CompanyNow learn to read the accounts, one plain step at a time.

I can read a P&L - take me deeper

Go past the basics into how different businesses actually report, and what a company is worth.

  1. 1Statement anatomyHow a bank, an insurer, a hospital, a builder each write their accounts differently.
  2. 2Reading a CompanySector-by-sector statements, then the forensics of management and cash.
  3. 3Reading Valuation DeeplyPrice is what you pay; value is what you get - telling them apart.

Tips and market noise rattle me

Learn to see who profits from a message before you believe it, and to name the traps in your own head.

  1. 1Reading the NoiseWho profits if you believe this? - the master question for every tip.
  2. 2Reading YourselfThe biases that make a tip feel true and a crash feel like the end.
  3. 3Mental models - the biasesOpen the Models tab and read the 'Your own mind' set.

I just want the simple, passive route

Understand why owning the whole market cheaply is the honest default for most people - as reasoning, never as a tip.

  1. 1Reading the Passive PathIndex funds, costs, and the traps that eat a saver's returns.
  2. 2John BogleCosts, the whole haystack, and staying the course.
  3. 3Charley EllisWhy beating the market got so hard - and winning by not losing.

I want to understand markets & macro

See the weather the individual investor sits inside - cycles, rates, liquidity, and how debt bends it all.

  1. 1Reading the CycleRates, inflation, the rupee, flows - how to position, not trade.
  2. 2Reading the MarketHow the market is built, priced, and moved.
  3. 3Reading LeverageHow debt amplifies the cycle, up and down.

If you only have two minutes

Read the reading checklist - seven questions that, most of the time, help you say a fast, confident no. Then keep these five ideas in your pocket:

What each part is for

Read it your way

There is no right order once you have your footing, and nothing here rewards speed. Dip in by your situation: a tip landed in your group, a result just came out, the market is falling. Follow the links wherever they lead - every lesson points to the ideas next to it. Read slowly, re-read often, and remember the whole point is to help you think for yourself, never to tell you what to buy.
