mystockguide is run by Manoj Sethi as an individual, not a company. For the purposes of the DPDP Act he is the Data Fiduciary for this site — the person who decides what is collected and why. Contact details for questions, corrections and complaints are at the foot of this page.

• No accounts, no signup, no ads. You can read everything without giving any personal information. You are never asked for a name, an email, or a phone number.
• Your reading progress (which lessons you have marked complete, quiz outcomes, notes, your theme choice) is stored only in your own browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device, is never sent to any server, and cannot be seen by the author.
• Analytics — only if you accept. Google Analytics loads only after you press Accept on the banner. If you decline, or simply ignore it, no analytics script runs and no analytics cookie is set. When it is on, it collects your IP address, device and browser details, rough location derived from the IP, and the pages you view. Under the DPDP Act this counts as personal data, even though it is used only in aggregate and never to build a profile of you. Purpose: to see which pages help readers and which do not. Ad-personalisation and cross-device signals are switched off.
• Standard server logs. The host may keep basic access logs (IP, user agent, requested page) for security and to keep the site running, as any web host does.

Nothing is sold, rented, or shared for advertising. There is no newsletter list, no tracking pixel, and no third-party embed other than the analytics described above.

If you consent to analytics, the data described above is processed by Google on servers outside India, under Google’s own terms, and is retained according to the Analytics property’s retention setting. Server logs are kept by the host for a short period for security. Data held in your own browser stays until you clear it.

No advertising or tracking cookies, ever. Analytics — if you consent — sets Google’s own _ga cookies; declining sets none. Your consent choice, your reading progress and your theme are kept in local storage, not cookies, and never leave the device.

Turning it off deletes the analytics cookies already in this browser and stops any further collection. Your choice is per browser and per device.

Because the site holds no account and no server-side record of you, most of these are things you can exercise yourself in seconds — but you can also ask, and you will get an answer.

• Withdraw consent — the control above, at any time, with no reason and no consequence to your reading.
• Access and correction — ask what is held about you. For analytics the honest answer is aggregate usage data not linked to your identity; there is no profile to hand over.
• Erasure — clearing this site’s local storage erases your reading progress and resets your analytics choice immediately. For anything held by the author, ask and it will be deleted.
• Grievance redressal — write to the contact below first. If the reply does not satisfy you, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
• Nominate — you may nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity.

This site is written for adults making their own financial decisions and is not directed at children. The DPDP Act forbids tracking or behavioural monitoring of anyone under 18, and requires verifiable parental consent to process their data. No analytics consent should be given by a reader under 18 — decline the banner. Nothing on this site profiles or targets any reader, of any age.

The site is a static export: there is no server-side database, no login system, and no user data store to breach. The only personal data in play is the analytics stream you may consent to, and it is held by Google, not here.

• Not registered with any regulator. The author, Manoj Sethi, is a retail investor sharing what he has learned — not a registered research analyst or investment adviser, not an insurance agent or distributor, and not a tax adviser.
